Ole Miss to Cotton Bowl, What About Georgia?
The SEC bowl picture is starting to clear with this announcement from Houston Nutt.
Report: Ole Miss to Cotton Bowl | Solomon’s Wisdom – al.com
Ole Miss coach Houston Nutt says the Rebels are headed back to the Cotton Bowl, according to ESPN.com’s Ivan Maisel. That starts to clear up a jumbled SEC bowl picture with six 7-5 teams.
The Alabama-Florida winner goes to the MNC game, the loser to the Sugar Bowl. LSU is most likely headed to Orlando for the Citruc Bowl.
That leaves Tennessee, Arkansas, Kenutcky, Auburn, South Carolina and Georgia yet to be determined.
BUI bets Tennessee gets the Outback. They are certain to fill the place up and are seen as a team on the upswing.
The Peach Chick-fil-a is the next best bowl. Virginia Tech is the likely entrant from the ACC with the loser of the ACC Title game falling to the Gator. Georgia and VaTech certainly put on a good show a few years ago. Hopefully that will merit further consideration for the Dawgs.
Auburn limps to the finish with two straight losses. A trip to Birmingham will probably be their prize.
Even though the Cats beat Georgia, I see them falling to Shreveport.
Memphis is practically in Arkansas so let’s put them there.
That would place either Georgia or South Carolina in Nashville or Atlanta. Hopefully the Dawg’s victory over the Cocks will trump the hotel rooms the Cocks would fill, but I wouldn’t bet on it.
