Can't say whether or not Joe was checking to the pass, but the formation makes me believe we were not content to take the air out of the ball and grind it out on the ground.

The majority of our second half running plays went east and west. Kentucky did stuff a few running plays up the middle, but we have never let incompletions or interceptions stop us from passing, why give up on the running game?

We are not getting the blocking from the FB position we are accustomed to, that is for sure. Perhaps it is because we do not practice it enough.

You probably have a point about Bobo. It may have just been the "homer" in me coming out and wanting a Georgia man at the helm when Richt retired.

I do not want to be a "use them" type of school, my point is, what is best for the program should trump what is best for any individual player or coach.

It is never fun to be critical of a man as classy as Richt is, but for the life of me I do not understand some of the decisions he has made this year.

Correct me if I'm wrong but if I'm not mistaken the coaches send in the play and based on what the defense shows Joe Cox has the option to check down to another play. And he did that regularly all night.

Well said. But I have to differ on your original feelings about Bobo. I have always thought he was made better by the talent in the field. Now that the talent is minus a few key players, we see what come out. Now it could be we had to limit our gameplan, but the result is the same. I have never looked to anyone on the current staff as a coach in waiting. Just didn't think it was there.

I do agree that the loyality as gotten in the way of success at times, but I also don't want to become a true "use them" type if school.

I'm so glad a had to turn in before the end of the game, else I might have lost a tv.

I think you hit on something that's been bothering me this year--wasted talent. This year I have seen UGA get less from more than any other SEC team. That falls squarely on coaching.
